Hussein Somo is a highly experienced Social Worker and Complex Family Key Worker, registered with Social Work England, with over 12 years of experience in social care, early intervention, family support, and youth justice. He specializes in systemic family approaches, crisis intervention, safeguarding, and risk assessments, offering holistic support to young people and adults in challenging environments.
Currently serving as a Supported Living Placement Manager at Melburay Care, Hussein oversees emergency placements, coordinates trauma-informed support, and ensures the well-being and safety of vulnerable individuals. His ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams has been instrumental in improving outcomes for at-risk youth and families.
Hussein holds a BSc (Hons) in Social Work from De Montfort University, alongside an Advanced Postgraduate Certificate in Systemic Family Therapy from the Institute of Family Therapy, London. Careene Okaro is a highly experienced Band 7 Qualified Nurse, bringing over 10 years of expertise in the NHS and more than three years of experience working with young children in supported accommodation settings. Passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality care, she has dedicated her career to supporting vulnerable children and ensuring their well-being in safe and nurturing environments.
With a deep understanding of healthcare policies, safeguarding procedures, and trauma-informed care, she has played a vital role in improving the health outcomes of young individuals. Her experience extends to mentorship, crisis intervention, and holistic patient support, making her a key advocate for young people’s well-being.
